Every year Judson University has multiple global mission trip opportunities for students. This year one of the places was Belize. A group of interested students, staff, alumni and family now make up the twenty people going to Belize during our spring break, which is the first week of March. Many of us have not been to Belize before, however a few have been to this very same village in years past. Judson tries to keep an ongoing connection to the people and church in Belize. We believe that mission trips are about sharing God's love and building relationships with all we come in contact with. For those who are going back it is very exciting to see how the people have grown.
When we are in Belize there will be several different small groups of us all completing unique tasks during the day. The assignments include: construction, working in a elementary school or high school, VBS, and going door to door to speak to residents. At night we will gather back together and interact with the residents by playing games/sports and talking. Even though we all have different assignments, we all have the same goal.
The purpose of this blog is to keep family and friends updated on how the trip is going, since most of us will not have our phones. We are all looking forward to the experience though, and appreciate all the support and prayers.
Thank You
